A Greek island is probably the last place you should be frustrated with technology. But there I was, surrounded by beautiful scenery, annoyed that I couldn't ask AI a simple question because I had no internet connection. I remember thinking, “Seriously? My phone is powerful enough to run AI. Why do I need the internet?” It was a small problem, but I couldn't stop thinking about it. So I built Cloak. It's a simple AI app that works without internet. Once you've downloaded the AI model, everything runs directly on your device. Your chats stay private, there's no complicated setup, and you don't need an account or subscription. Just open Cloak and start chatting. As I keep building Cloak, I'm realizing that offline AI is just the beginning. Voice Memos and Recap are our first steps toward exploring a bigger question: What else can AI do when it runs directly on your phone? I don't know the full answer yet. That's what makes it exciting. Thanks for being early, Alex alex@polyaura.com
