# GoldenHour vs chasinglight

The clearest difference is rating: chasinglight at 5.0 against GoldenHour's 3.9. chasinglight also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.6). GoldenHour's advantage is ratings volume (9 vs 1) and device support (5 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GoldenHour sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and chasinglight sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

chasinglight holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GoldenHour has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

GoldenHour ships an update weekly, chasinglight every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 14, 2026.
