# MySteps vs Stark

The clearest difference is ratings volume: MySteps at 9 against Stark's 1. MySteps also leads on iOS requirement (18.5 vs 26.2). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MySteps sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Stark sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for MySteps against 5.0 for Stark. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MySteps has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

MySteps ships an update weekly, Stark every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
