# FocusDown vs SumNote

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: SumNote at none against FocusDown's 4. SumNote also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 69%). FocusDown's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.6) and ratings volume (77 vs 8). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FocusDown sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. SumNote asks for nothing beyond the download.

FocusDown holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FocusDown has 77 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 69% of FocusDown's written reviews are positive against 100% of SumNote's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FocusDown ships an update every 3 weeks, SumNote every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
