# EchoPad vs Zero Chat

The clearest difference is update cadence: Zero Chat at every 4 days against EchoPad's every 6 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EchoPad sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Zero Chat sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

EchoPad ships an update every 6 weeks, Zero Chat every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on September 17, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
