# Cherry Novel vs PlotFork

The clearest difference is rating: PlotFork at 5.0 against Cherry Novel's 4.7. Cherry Novel's advantage is ratings volume (18 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cherry Novel sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $39.99 per 7 days and PlotFork sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PlotFork holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cherry Novel has 18 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Cherry Novel ships an update fortnightly, PlotFork every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on September 21, 2026 and September 15, 2026 respectively.
