# Untracked Maps vs Flock Alert

The clearest difference is rating: Flock Alert at 4.4 against Untracked Maps's 3.7. Flock Alert also leads on ratings volume (28 vs 3). Untracked Maps's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and review sentiment (100% vs 71%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flock Alert sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Untracked Maps asks for nothing beyond the download.

Flock Alert holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flock Alert has 28 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Untracked Maps's written reviews are positive against 71% of Flock Alert's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Untracked Maps ships an update every 5 days, Flock Alert weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
