# Shater vs SafRecap

The clearest difference is update cadence: Shater at weekly against SafRecap's monthly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shater sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and SafRecap sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Shater ships an update weekly, SafRecap monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
