# Pretake vs Ao Memo

The clearest difference is update cadence: Pretake at every 11 days against Ao Memo's every 2 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pretake sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Ao Memo sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pretake ships an update every 11 days, Ao Memo every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
