# Color Cube vs Equal Cut

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Equal Cut at none against Color Cube's 15. Equal Cut also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). Color Cube's advantage is ratings volume (404 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Color Cube sells 15 one-off in-app purchases. Equal Cut asks for nothing beyond the download.

Equal Cut holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Color Cube has 404 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Color Cube ships an update fortnightly, Equal Cut weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
