# Lie Detector vs Cheat Codes

The clearest difference is rating: Cheat Codes at 5.0 against Lie Detector's 3.2. Cheat Codes also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). Lie Detector's advantage is ratings volume (159 vs 1) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lie Detector sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Cheat Codes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cheat Codes holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lie Detector has 159 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Lie Detector ships an update every 9 days, Cheat Codes every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
