# String Slash vs Cubes

The clearest difference is update cadence: Cubes at every 2 days against String Slash's every 3 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. String Slash sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Cubes sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

String Slash ships an update every 3 weeks, Cubes every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
