# Ace Pitcher vs Diamond Coach

The clearest difference is monetization model: Ace Pitcher at freemium against Diamond Coach's subscription. Ace Pitcher also leads on ratings volume (159 vs 5). Diamond Coach's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (daily vs fortnightly). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ace Pitcher sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and Diamond Coach sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Ace Pitcher against 4.8 for Diamond Coach. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ace Pitcher has 159 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 83% of Ace Pitcher's written reviews are positive against 100% of Diamond Coach's.

Ace Pitcher ships an update fortnightly, Diamond Coach daily. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
