# Odie vs Snipnote

The clearest difference is ads: Snipnote at none against Odie's shown. Odie's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.1). On price, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Odie sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and Snipnote sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Odie ships an update every 2 weeks, Snipnote every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
