# Luvu vs Evernook

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Evernook at 100% against Luvu's 37%. Evernook also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.6). Luvu's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 10 days). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Luvu sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and Evernook sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Evernook holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Luvu has 308 ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 37% of Luvu's written reviews are positive against 100% of Evernook's.

Luvu ships an update every 4 days, Evernook every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
