# CBT vs StepDex

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: StepDex at none against CBT's 1. CBT's advantage is update cadence (daily vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CBT sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. StepDex asks for nothing beyond the download.

CBT ships an update daily, StepDex every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
