# Secure Folder vs Easy Pixelate

The clearest difference is ads: Secure Folder at none against Easy Pixelate's shown. Easy Pixelate's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Secure Folder sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Easy Pixelate sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Secure Folder ships an update fortnightly, Easy Pixelate every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
