# BananaTalk vs CodeChat

The clearest difference is update cadence: CodeChat at every 3 days against BananaTalk's every 9 days. BananaTalk's advantage is device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BananaTalk sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and CodeChat sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
