# DailySteps vs StepMelon

The clearest difference is iOS requirement: StepMelon at 15.0 against DailySteps's 18.5. On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DailySteps sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and StepMelon sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DailySteps ships an update every 3 days, StepMelon every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
