# Recipool vs Paper Chef

The clearest difference is update cadence: Paper Chef at weekly against Recipool's every 2 weeks. Recipool's advantage is iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Recipool sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Paper Chef sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Recipool ships an update every 2 weeks, Paper Chef weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
