# Aro vs Counted

The clearest difference is ads: Counted at none against Aro's shown. Counted also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Aro sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Counted sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Aro ships an update every 2 months, Counted weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
