# ScriptCam vs Recapd

The clearest difference is rating: ScriptCam at 4.2 against Recapd's 1.0. ScriptCam also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1). Recapd's advantage is update cadence (every 11 days vs every 4 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ScriptCam sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Recapd sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ScriptCam holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ScriptCam has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ScriptCam ships an update every 4 months, Recapd every 11 days. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
