# Yapstar vs Germanize

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Yapstar at 100% against Germanize's 57%. Yapstar also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (13 vs 2). Germanize's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.0) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 11 days). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Yapstar sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Germanize sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Germanize holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Yapstar has 13 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Yapstar's written reviews are positive against 57% of Germanize's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Yapstar ships an update every 11 days, Germanize every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
