# Olively vs Herstart

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Olively at 587 against Herstart's 2. Olively also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 4 weeks). Herstart's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Olively sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Herstart sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Herstart holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Olively has 587 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Olively ships an update weekly, Herstart every 4 weeks. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
