# WhichMap vs NAV

The clearest difference is ads: WhichMap at none against NAV's shown. WhichMap also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 18.6). NAV's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 5 days) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for WhichMap against 5.0 for NAV. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NAV has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

WhichMap ships an update every 5 days, NAV every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on September 26, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
