# Blox vs Dropping Penguin

The clearest difference is update cadence: Blox at fortnightly against Dropping Penguin's every 5 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Blox sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Dropping Penguin sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Blox ships an update fortnightly, Dropping Penguin every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on September 9, 2026 and September 16, 2026 respectively.
