# OnStem vs Stem Splitter

The clearest difference is ads: Stem Splitter at none against OnStem's shown. Stem Splitter also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OnStem sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Stem Splitter sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
