# BrainBoost vs ScholarNest

The clearest difference is ads: ScholarNest at none against BrainBoost's shown. BrainBoost's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs monthly) and ratings volume (6 vs 1). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BrainBoost sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and ScholarNest sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for BrainBoost against 5.0 for ScholarNest. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BrainBoost has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

BrainBoost ships an update every 4 days, ScholarNest monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
