# Big Reader vs ClipCode

The clearest difference is update cadence: ClipCode at every 3 days against Big Reader's every 2 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Big Reader sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and ClipCode sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Big Reader ships an update every 2 weeks, ClipCode every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
