# Highlight PDF vs ScanPro

The clearest difference is update cadence: ScanPro at every 2 months against Highlight PDF's every 4 months. ScanPro also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Highlight PDF sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and ScanPro sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Highlight PDF ships an update every 4 months, ScanPro every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
