# Server Tip Tracker vs TipStation

The clearest difference is monetization model: Server Tip Tracker at free with in-app purchases against TipStation's subscription. Server Tip Tracker also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 5 weeks) and ratings volume (30 vs 8). TipStation's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Server Tip Tracker sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and TipStation sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TipStation holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 30 and 8 respectively. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Server Tip Tracker ships an update every 5 days, TipStation every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
