# Visual Weather vs Arc

The clearest difference is update cadence: Visual Weather at every 3 days against Arc's fortnightly. Visual Weather also leads on iOS requirement (15.3 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Visual Weather sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Arc sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Visual Weather ships an update every 3 days, Arc fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
