# Vello vs Subly

The clearest difference is ads: Subly at none against Vello's shown. Vello's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Vello sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Subly sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Vello ships an update weekly, Subly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
