# FocusTimer vs Reso

The clearest difference is update cadence: Reso at every 4 days against FocusTimer's every 3 weeks. Reso also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FocusTimer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Reso sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FocusTimer ships an update every 3 weeks, Reso every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
