# CELPIP Speaking vs CELPIP Test Prep

CELPIP Speaking and CELPIP Test Prep are too close to call on the numbers: across 6 compared parameters — price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.

Both are free to download. CELPIP Speaking sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and CELPIP Test Prep sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CELPIP Speaking ships an update every 3 weeks, CELPIP Test Prep fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
