# Steppa vs Pupstep

The clearest difference is update cadence: Steppa at daily against Pupstep's every 2 weeks. Steppa also leads on ratings volume (45 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). Pupstep's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Steppa sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Pupstep sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pupstep holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Steppa has 45 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Steppa ships an update daily, Pupstep every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
