# Tyrant vs Darkest Exiles

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Tyrant at 59 against Darkest Exiles's 4. On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tyrant sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Darkest Exiles sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Tyrant against 5.0 for Darkest Exiles. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tyrant has 59 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 96% of Tyrant's written reviews are positive against 100% of Darkest Exiles's.

Tyrant ships an update every 5 days, Darkest Exiles every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
