# Backlog vs Sessionist

The clearest difference is update cadence: Backlog at every 4 days against Sessionist's every 3 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Backlog sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Sessionist sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Backlog ships an update every 4 days, Sessionist every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
