# Backlog vs Perthro

The clearest difference is ads: Backlog at none against Perthro's shown. Backlog also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks). Perthro's advantage is iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Backlog sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Perthro sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
