# NextUp vs Span

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: NextUp at none against Span's 1. Span's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Span sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. NextUp asks for nothing beyond the download.

NextUp ships an update every 2 months, Span every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
