# Gravity vs Excerpt

The clearest difference is price: Excerpt at Free against Gravity's $9.99. Gravity's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Excerpt is free to download; Gravity costs $9.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Gravity ships an update fortnightly, Excerpt every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
