# Timed Tasks vs Tasks

The clearest difference is rating: Timed Tasks at 5.0 against Tasks's 3.6. Timed Tasks also leads on monetization model (free vs freemium). Tasks's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timed Tasks sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Tasks sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Timed Tasks holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tasks has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Timed Tasks ships an update every 2 months, Tasks every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
