# Vaulty vs ComicScan

The clearest difference is rating: Vaulty at 4.6 against ComicScan's 1.0. Vaulty also leads on ratings volume (249 vs 1). ComicScan's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Vaulty sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and ComicScan sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Vaulty holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Vaulty has 249 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Vaulty ships an update every 11 days, ComicScan fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
