# Ambition vs Actor Empire

The clearest difference is ads: Ambition at none against Actor Empire's shown. Ambition also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.1). Actor Empire's advantage is review sentiment (71% vs 46%) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ambition sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Actor Empire sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ambition holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 82 and 90 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of Ambition's written reviews are positive against 71% of Actor Empire's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ambition ships an update every 3 weeks, Actor Empire every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
