# Referee vs Pixel Gun 2

The clearest difference is rating: Referee at 5.0 against Pixel Gun 2's 4.5. Referee also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 17) and update cadence (daily vs every 9 days). Pixel Gun 2's advantage is ratings volume (1.3K vs 1) and chart position (#178 vs unranked). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pixel Gun 2 sells 17 one-off in-app purchases. Referee asks for nothing beyond the download.

Referee holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pixel Gun 2 has 1.3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
