# ReadFast vs SpeedReader

The clearest difference is update cadence: SpeedReader at every 4 days against ReadFast's every 5 weeks. ReadFast's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ReadFast ships an update every 5 weeks, SpeedReader every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
