# Skarp vs CertPrep

The clearest difference is ads: CertPrep at none against Skarp's shown. On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Skarp sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and CertPrep sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Skarp ships an update weekly, CertPrep every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
