# Movie Tracker vs CineSync Tracker

The clearest difference is review sentiment: CineSync Tracker at 100% against Movie Tracker's 0%. CineSync Tracker also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 months) and monetization model (ad-supported vs freemium). Movie Tracker's advantage is rating (3.9 vs 3.3) and ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Movie Tracker sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and CineSync Tracker sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Movie Tracker holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 12 and 3 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Movie Tracker's written reviews are positive against 100% of CineSync Tracker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Movie Tracker ships an update every 3 months, CineSync Tracker every 3 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
