# Regain vs Alongside

The clearest difference is ads: Alongside at none against Regain's shown. Alongside also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Regain sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Alongside sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Regain ships an update every 5 days, Alongside every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
