# BookFocus vs ToRead

The clearest difference is update cadence: BookFocus at every 4 days against ToRead's every 4 weeks. BookFocus also leads on device support (3 vs 1). ToRead's advantage is iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BookFocus sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and ToRead sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BookFocus ships an update every 4 days, ToRead every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
